Guest guest
Durham NC - Request Visitor Information For anyone going to Durham, this booklet is a must. The Duke Towers is more of a suite type place and here is their link: " DUKE TOWER Residential Suites - Home Page " There are no restaurants real close by to the Duke. The Fairfield on Hillsborough is close to several restaurants including the Cracker Barrel and the Waffle House and also a small shopping area. Hope this helps in SC Pre-op 386 lbs./ 365 lbs./ Waiting on ins. approval If you see someone without a smile, Give them one of yours. If you and I should meet and You forget me, you have lost nothing. If you meet JESUS and you forget him, you will have lost everything. Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I am writing from Comfort Suites in Durham. It is very nice here. The rooms are not actually what I would call suites, more like one big room with a little bit of an archway. We have a big closet, a small fridge and microwave, 2 Q beds, and a sitting area with a sofa bed, coffee table, and desk. It is very nice, and almost new. The only problem is that the water went off for a while today, and now the swimming pool is filled with green water, so it is closed. If it isn't back open by tomorrow, we are going to see if we can move to a different hotel. That is going to be my kids' only entertainment while I am in the hospital, I don't want them to have to do without it. My daughter and I went to the support group meeting today, I got to meet so many of the people off of the group mail list. It was really great. Afterward, we went to 's house for a party. I took all 4 of my kids and my mom with me there. We had a great time! Hurry up and get here!! Deb in IL Reporting from Durham...

Thanks for the report--glad to hear you made it safe and sound! We are now thinking about taking our puppy, so will have to find a hotel that takes pets I also am hoping for a suite with the bedroom separate. Gosh, I hope you don't have to move, but I agree a pool is a must for a summer trip with your kiddos! You must be so excited!! I am excited for you, sweetie! Send best wishes to Robin, too.
