This is so true. Let this be a credit to Dr. Rutledge's great skill. So

often we talk about the 35 minute surgery. Yet if another surgeon, not as

skilled as Dr. R, would do the surgery I am sure it would be way in excess

of 2 or 3 hours. Dr. R has improved his skills tremendously over the past 3

years that he was able to reduce the time in surgery to 35 minutes. That

is the kind of surgeon I wanted operating on me.... Way to go Dr. Rutledge.

However, I don't want him to be in a race to beat his time..I would rather he

take his time and make sure there are NO mistakes! I am paranoid enough!!!

Which brings me to a question...what causes leaks? Is it because something

wasn't stitched right? Or does it tear? Just curious...

I think that deserves a big " Amen, " too!!!

His first one took 2-1/2 hours or thereabouts, so yes, it is definitely

a testimony to his skill as a surgeon that we now see 35 minutes (and

less) surgery times, and blessedly few complications.

I know this is the *only* surgery I ever had that I didn't feel groggy

from the anesthesia days later, too. YAY!

Kind regards,
