Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just arrived home from Durham - I had my surgery Wed July 12th, at 8:30 a.m. and left the hospital Thursday and today I felt so good we drove 745 miles home to Michigan. I can't believe I feel this good after only 2 days. The first few hours after the operation were very uncomfortable but with every hour I felt better and better. I think it helped to get up as soon as possible too. I didn't want to use any muscles the first day but by the 2nd day I could get out of bed by myself. Everyone was very nice to me - We stayed at the Extended Stay on Tower Road. I thought Dr. Rutledge was very professional and **Charming** with a great sense of humor. I feel very lucky to have been able to have his surgery. I'm not as thirsty as I always was. and I haven't been hungry either. although I have been having my smoothies with protien powder and yogurt and v-8's - I've just been sipping - I feel great I hope all the other Michiganders can finally get there too. Guest guest
Way to go Barb - glad you are safely on the other side!!! Where do you live in Michigan? I was born in Ann Arbor and lived in Plymouth and Dearborn. We also had a cottage at Portage Lake. We were a Ford family and got transfered a lot but, of course, always came back to Michigan as that is where the headquarters are.
