Guest guest
Hi friends, came home last night and I don't think I have taken my eyes off her since! She had a wonderful time at camp, even though she only went for 4 weeks instead of 8 this year. She needed to get home to get her bloodwork and EKG in plenty of time for her upcoming surgery. We go together on Tuesday, and then I get the pap and mammo on Thursday (don't know which one I hate more). Couldn't wait to hop on Chris' bed and have her actually there with me. As you know, that is where she and I have always shared our " bonding experiences. " lol Anyway, I spent a lot of time in her room, perched on her bed while she was gone, but something (someone) was definitely missing! lol The good news is: she lost 28 pounds in the 4 weeks and is exercised, tan, and energized! I know this will be a help for the surgery. Well, that's it from here--just wanted to share my good news!! I'll be praying for all who go this week. Good luck, dear friends, and let us know how you are doing. Guest guest
WOW! Debbie, that is fantastic! has done really well, and I know she'll be successful with the MGB. How I wish I had done this 10 years ago. I'm only 32, so am lucky to be able to live most of my adult life as a " normal " sized person (once 100 more pounds fall off!) but I only wish that I could have done this sooner. I can't wait until BOTH of you get to dance with the doc! Blessings, Amy. _____________________________________________ Amy S. Guest guest
Sounds good Deb.. or everyone can come here, if you would prefer.. maybe by next summer I will have a pool, and we can cook out ( I'll buy a hamburger pattie for us to share..lol), and jump on the trampoline... We will be looking for fun ways to exercise by then.. I am already planning to try to take a vacation to Durham next summer for my anniversary.. my hubby wants to go take a fishing trip there.. he says there is a good lake or something near there...all I know is that he is planning on hauling the boat out there, so that probably means we won't be flying...LOL Anyway, we need to get together. I met Debbie Wade from Virginia at clinic, and she is visiting her sister this week in Illinois. Yesterday, we all met for lunch (Debbie, her hubby, her sister, and my daughter and I)... It was really nice. They are wonderful people. I feel so fortunate to have met so many nice people on this list! I feel like my whole life is better for finding out about the MGB, and I think that is only going to get better. Take care and good luck with everything!
