Guest guest
Jody, I wish I could share my milk lady with you and everyone else on this list that needs goats milk. She is such a peach. She delivers goats milk to me for $3 a gallon. After I found out what many people pay I told her about it and suggested that she might want to raise her price. She abruptly told me that I was doing all this work for my kids and she could do this much. She also makes butter for me and brings me eggs when she has extra. This last week I was blessed with 8 dozen for 1.5 a dozen. She does everything organic, fanatically. Need I say again that she is a peach? Praying that you all will be able to find someone where you are that is in support of what you are doing and willing to help a little with this area. Guest guest
It's illegal to sell/purchase raw milk for human consumption in Indiana (where I live). So, it is unlikely that I will find anyone willing to help me out in the way that you've found. Very few people want to risk going to jail. Now, I have considered getting a goat (for about 30 seconds...LOL). I know nothing about raising animals and my subdivision prohibits non-domesticated animals. And I somehow think it would be difficult to say that a goat is a tame, family pet. Plus, I don't think I have enough yard for a goat, but of course, it would save money on gasoline for my lawnmower.
