Guest guest
Dear Joyce, Please read the BTVC Celiac Story Chapter (again...if you need to) and see if it speaks to you. There is more to celiac disease than just gluten. Elaine says in her book that S.V. Hass realized this...and that it is a shame that the medical community transformed their way of thinking to " black and white " ...gluten or not gluten related. Because thanks to celiac blood work only checking for gluten reaction...many celiacs or those with malabsorption syndromes are slipping through the cracks. AND yes celiac and other malabsorption syndromes are related to a burnt out gallbladder and gall stones and gallbladder disease. Antibiotic therapy is always a shame...screwed me up too. Get activated charcoal capsules for the toxic flu like die off reaction. Take them one hour before or one hour after a meal...so they don't absorb you nutrients....just the die off toxins. I wish I had known this because I miss my gallbladder. Maybe you can save yours. It is difficult not having one. But misdiagnosed malabsorption destroyed many things in my body. Caused 4 miscarriages, osteoporosis, stress fractures, depression, mood swings, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, permanent brain problems and so much more. I was 37 years old before they figured it out. Had it all my life...no doubt. Hope this helps, Antoinette (2 mo plus SCD diet and finally healing from celiac disease/malabsorption syndrome when the gluten free diet failed me miserably and now I know why, thanks to Elaine and BTVC) digesting fats There was a post on pecanbread that got me thinking. It was about someone getting their gallbladder removed when the person actually had celiac disease! I have been having problems digesting fats lately to where it actually makes me nauseated. I have been trying out the scd diet for over a week. My guts are in bad shape because of the overuse of antibiotics for almost two months for a sinus infection. I am off of them now, but I have been trying to get onto some probiotic but unsuccessful because of massive die-off with just one tablet of a probiotic. I tried the scd yogurt I made yesterday, so I am still going through nausea and flu-like symptoms. Just eating butter now will cause me to be nauseated. I also cannot eat any wheat products. Do I just need a good liver flush, or could I also have celiac? I have had systemic candida for most of my life, but it is much worse since the antibiotics. I also just started having hot flashes, so my stomach feels worse when that happens. I am 51. Thanks for any advice.
