Guest guest Posted May 2, 2006 Report Share Posted May 2, 2006 Dear Jody, If you are confused about us, I made the COCONUT YOGURT. It was watery like Kefir. I used progurt starter. AND IT CAUSED A KILLER DIE OFF NO DIFFERENT THAN WHEN WE USED THE SCD goat YOGURT made from different starters. It wasn't the casein....that we both suspected. You see.....what made our moods and behavior problems was the " DIE OFF " REACTION, being confused with casein reaction. We assumed that the reason we couldn't do the goat yogurt was because of the casein. It never was the casein.....it was the die off that it caused when we ate too much. No wonder why people blame the yogurt as having casein in it! This is why I feel that I believe it. When Elaine said that the 24 hour fermentation of goat yogurt denatures the casein and makes it harmless. We have always had a problem with casein before now. WE don't with the goat yogurt. YEAH!!!!! Just have to be careful of die off reaction. That's all. Hope this clears things up a bit. Something good must hve come out of this die off, KIKI is much more talkative!!! Yeah.
