OT-Irritable bowel or obstruction?

Hi All, I have read on this group a discussion about what inflamatory

bowel is. My question is , my son Matteo has always had to push pretty

hard to have a BM.He is now having softer if not mushy stools and he

is still having to push for quite some time. He always becomes hyper

sensative if not aggetated just before he has BM or passes gas. Is this

a sign of inflammatory bowels or some kind of obstruction? Would

greatly appreciate any thoughts on this. PS I am not ready yet to see

a GI because of the lack of respect for the diet in the medical field
