Guest guest
, That's great that your daughter will eat olives. Thank you for the idea, but my son won't go near an olive. He is 2 1/2 and very limited in his selections of food. He basically eats the same things everyday, all SCD. I have heard that it's pretty normal at his age to eat that way, so I try not to worry too much. I just keep offering him new things and putting them on his plate anyway. Sometimes he licks them and says yum, but he makes a funny face like it's disgusting and then tells me it's my turn to eat it. I think he wants to like it because we eat it, but it is new to him and he is afraid. He does like garlic though, but it is usually cooked, so I don't know if he is reaping any of the benefits. I make him steak that he eats everyday, sometimes for lunch and dinner, and it is marinated in olive oil and fresh garlic, then I add salt. We are currently giving our son Nystatin, but have used Diflucan in the past. It depends on what strains of yeast appear in his stool analysis. As far as Diflucan being hard on the liver, we give Noah Milk Thistle while on it to help aid the liver. Luckily he has have never had a problem taking it. One day all I had in the house was garlic stuffed olives and she now loves them too. Just a thought.... . still waiting for my copy of the book.... > > And to add to what I just posted, the DAN! doctors treat > simultaneously with prescription (or natural) anti-fungals and > antiantibiotics so that the bacteria does not overgrow while the yeast > is dying. > > Diflucan does not kill bacteria (good or pathogenic). > > > Jody > mom to -7 and -9 > SCD 1/03 >
