Guest guest Posted July 9, 2000 Report Share Posted July 9, 2000 Dee,I'm not sure I'm the you're talking to,but I feel like I've known you since I began following these posts in early December(watched you go through the MGB,sort of). Anyway I find I'm for the most part naturally selecting an Atkins type diet. I truly crave protein(eggs for breakfast,steak for dinner). Unfortunately I have NO problems w/ fats,but seem to be doing well. I noticed that when I had a pulled muscle(2 weeks ago) and wasn't able to exercise,that I was sluggish and craving carbs(even sweets-oreos!) I am back to walking and Jazzercise and am once again craving the proteins(especially egg-beaters,loaded w/ salt! That is truly the perfect food!) I did buy the Atkins diet bars,and they were okay(always carry 1 in my purse) They are high protein and potassium. Nice kick when I need some steam! They're pretty dry(can't whistle after I eat them!). Yogurt w/ protein powder is alright but getting a little boring! This surgery really helps an Atkins diet,but I promised my self I would never diet again! Gee,hope you were speaking to me! Sorry I rambled!
