Hi Laurie & Dale,

I haven't taken the opportunity to welcome you to the list. I think you

and your family are to be commended for the time and effort that has gone into

researching the MGB and other WLS. Your research and findings make me feel even

more confident with my choice.

I will be 7 weeks post-op on Wednesday and the weight keeps falling off. I'm

down 38 pounds.

Since surgery I have had one episode of acid reflux, it was after I ate

Rotel Cheese Dip at a party we hosted at our home. I ate it about midnight, went

to bed at 1:00 am and woke up at 3:00 am with the most awful burning in my

throat I have ever experienced. I chalked it up to my own stupidity for eating

such spicy food so late at night. The Carafate and Prevacid took care of the

problem. I have not had any other episodes.

I think you and Dale will be quite pleased with the MGB and the expected

results. Please feel free to post all your findings, I, for one, love to explore

the various sites of additional information. If Dale would like to talk to my

Husband, he can call Randy at work --- 214/ 464-1120 or home 817/ 577-0919. Good

luck with your quest for a healthier life.

Best Wishes,

Genz ( Genzel fron Fort Worth, Texas)
