Guest guest
I heard a doctor speak about getting the amalgams out of your mouth by a qualified person. He said that the person needs to have the right kind of vacuum and ventilation system in place to avoid you inhaling the mercury vapors (or the dentist inhaling them). He told us that with silver fillings every time you chew, you release some mercury vapors into your mouth which is absorbed by the body. When you go so far as to scrape and drill to get them out, you must have the proper equipment to protect everyone involved. I would love to get mine out but haven't found the time or extra money to do it. Sincerely, Tammy And in relation to your dentist, depending on his experience and the methods he used to remove your amalgams . . . it could have actually exposed you to more mercury. I don't know enough to judge what the right way is, but I have heard that if you don't have someone who " knows what they are doing " perform the procedure, it can do more harm than good. I am personally looking into this whole thing to take care of mine too, but I haven't gotten far enough on my research on that topic. But if your dentist did a " proper " job (whatever that means) than porcelain or composite fillings are a good alternative to amalgams. Guest guest
Tammy, Do you know where accurate information can be found about this " proper " equipment? Which vacuum is right? Which ventilation system is right? All that good stuff. You can mail me your links and whatnot off-line . . jlknopp@.... Thanks! I learned a lot from this book --> http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0895295504/sr=8-5/qid=1144841200/ref=sr_1_5/104\ -1922778-0501513?%5Fencoding=UTF8 I was lucky to find a naturally oriented dentist where I lived then. They used very serious procedures to avoid any escaped fumes and especially protection against me swallowing or breathing in any of it. I'm still in debt because of it but it was worth it for me.. I could literally feel myself being better one tooth at a time. Cheers Gérard
Guest guest
As far as I'm concerned, the dentists who put these amalgams in should have to pay for them, not me. What a crock - here we are, already broke enough, and yet I've got to go into further debt trying to get this stuff out of my mouth? It's just never ending! Jim and Jen wrote: Look up Weston Price.
