Guest guest
" I want to know why pecanbread is used insted of for instance bread made of almonds. " The website and list was originally created to support families of ASD (autism spectrum disorders). We found that many of the ASD kids did not tolerate almonds. The name " almondbread " was actually used for one of the early ASD/SCD lists. But as we realized that many of the kids couldn't tolerate them, the name was changed to pecanbread because they kids seemed to do fine with pecans. As time has gone on, the list is actually reaching many families beyond those with ASD kids. I'm glad that so many other families and even adults have come to the list. But the list and the website were already pretty well known by then. So, pecanbread it stays. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
