Guest guest
I have a few questions about supplements. Mason was taking a pretty long list of supplements prior to our starting the SCD intro diet 6 days ago. In the spirit of fanatical adherance and wanting to get started right away we stopped the supplements he was taking and planned to add them back in one at a time (prior we started a lot of things all at once and weren't sure what was working/causing problems etc.) Could any kind soul out there help me weed through what is legal and what isn't and what are good replacements. There is some kind of thing going on at our DAN! office and the nutritionist who " prescribed " most of these supplements has separated from the practice so until we have a follow-up and figure out what's going on I'm kind of not sure where to turn. Here is a list of our old supplements: Nordic Naturals Cod Liver Oil(Orange) 1/2 tsp x 2 Klaire Vital Dophilus - 1/4 tsp x 2 Brainchild Intestimend - 4tsp daily Brainchild Spectrum Support Part II Vitamins - 1tsp Daily Brainchild Spectrum Support Part II Minerals - 4tsp Daily Inositol - 1/4 tsp x 2 Taurine - 1000mg Daily IgG2000 - 1/4tsp x 2 Nystatin Compounded w/Stevia and Tangerine Flavor 1 tsp x 2 Houston Enzymes (Zyme Prime, AFP Peptizyde and No Fenol) - Chewables at meals We hadn't started yet, but have a script for: mb12 w/folinic nasal spray Most of these supplements are near empty and need replacing anyway - so if they are legal I'll re-order, but would appreciate help on those that aren't. Thanks in advance, Amy w/Mason - SCD Day
Guest guest
I know this is difficult, one easy way is to contact the manufacturer. I do know we give Brainchild to our child and have been SCD for 2 years. We didn't see a sudden change, but he's doing well now. Brainchild A,B(vitamins),C(minerals...). We know anything by Kirkman is ok. We also give a Klaire pill, probiotic. take care, w/ inFL Legal Supplements Questions from a Newbie I have a few questions about supplements.
