Guest guest
I have just recently been able to start the yogurt and actually tolerate it. Yay!! When I have some one strange thing happens. About 15mins after eating it, it is like I have an extreme 'hayfever' reaction. my eyes tear up and water and my nose starts running uncontrollably, this goes on for about 5 min. of all of this fluid pouring from my head and then stops. I am wondering if this is a detox reaction and a way for my body to flush or if it is a sign of allergy. I feel better otherwise from this addition. A lot better. Any ideas? _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! Guest guest
Dear P, We too had strange reaction to goat yogurt too at first. At first I thought it was casein, but it wasn't. Because Elaine said that the casein is rendered harmless with the SCD yogurt making process. And then we did an experiment with Kefir and had the die off of a life time....rage attacks and weird behavior included.....and if it had had casein in it...I would have blamed the casein again! But as we all know coconut is casein free...and we used a dairy free yogurt starter.....so it had to be die off. So much for the casein hypothesis! If symptoms disappear, I personally wouldn't worry. As long as it is not a dangerous anaphylactic reaction, and this does not sound like that. IF Elaine is right, and she more than likely is. This reaction (what ever it is) will disappear as your gut heals. This is promising to all of us with food sensitivities! Could be die off, or a sensitivity to dairy because of your gut being damaged, but I personally don't know. Maybe some one else does. Sincerely, Antoinette and her silly yaks at the Bunce zoo!, Yogurt Detox Question I have just recently been able to start the yogurt and actually tolerate it. Yay!!
