What wonderful news! You're going to enjoy this new start on life.

The hospital stay and surgery aren't bad, in fact, with everyone

around, it's almost fun. And it's certainly an adventure.

Buy the small bottle of Hibiclens -- it's plenty. If you are staying

at Extended Stay, there's a Drug Emporium across the street, not in

the mall, but to the right of the mall, if you are looking at the

mall

from the main highway.

The first 6 hours are the only really annoying time, and after that,

you are starting to fly with your new wings.

When your staples itch, it is probably the adhesive on the tape. Get

that off as soon as you can, it makes a big difference and you'll

feel

a lot more comfortable.

Watch out, that third week is bad, though. You start realizing food

isn't going to be fun anymore and there's some sort of depression

that

sets in around then, too. But it will pass!!

Here's to soaring!

Kind regards,

,

My name is Sandi and I'm new to the E-Groups. Had surgery May 24, 2000.

Have had

problems with the Actigall - nausea, diarrhea, intestinal cramps. Problems

with swallow-

ing - everything goes down in a lump and sometimes it really hurts and

doesn't stay down -

even water! I'm 54, had surgery on my birthday - maybe it has to do with my

age. Did

you have any of the above problems and how long did it take to go away??

Thanks!
