Guest guest
Are there any courses on SCD, that would cover the into stages etc. Do's and don'ts etc. It would be so nice to just go for a day or so and learn it and come back and implement it. Guest guest
This is a very good idea Tara, there is actually a group of us that are working to put something like this together currently. We will keep you updated > >Reply-To: pecanbread >To: <pecanbread > >Subject: SCD- course >Date: Fri, 21 Apr 2006 13:07:23 -0400 > >Are there any courses on SCD, that would cover the into stages etc. Do's >and don'ts etc. > >It would be so nice to just go for a day or so and learn it and come back >and implement it. > >Tara > >
Guest guest
TARA SAID: Are there any courses on SCD, that would cover the into stages etc. Do's and don'ts etc. Dear Tara and to all it may concern, Believe it or not...even without the stage our gut will heal in spite of ourselves eating a strict SCD diet and following the book BTVC...the intro is the only thing that should not be denied. The stage where created by moms like Jody (our moderator), to help those with children who had problems with digesting foods...and helps to put into organization those foods that are easier to digest than others....but keep in mind they are not set in gold...and Elaine did not create them...nor used them to save her own daughters Life. ALTHOUGH DO NOT DENY THAT THEY CAN BE HELPFUL. So don't get so hung up on those stages...just listen to your children...keep a food log/journal...and keep and eye on their poops....when they are ready the diarrhea or constipation will subside and you will not see undigested food particles in the poop. This is what we did....just using the stages as a suggestion not a rule. Fanatical 100% adherence to SCD...is the trick to receiving the miracle...not the stages! Food for thought, Antoinette a.. Guest guest
Tara, At the AutismOne Conference in Chicago at the end of May, I will be doing an almost 4 hour cooking demonstration. I will go through the science behind the diet, how to start the diet and demonstrate cooking several different SCD recipes. Here's a link to the conference. http://www.autismone.org Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
