Guest guest
How does everyone know how many are on for surgery all the time. Is there someplace you go on the website to tell you who are on for surgery. Just wondering. Ruth

(CT) >> Pat, the toughest thing about being home the first three or four weeks was figuring out how to fit in all the meds and the liquid nourishment. It got easier every day. Remember that our new tummies are emptying in about 30 to 40 minutes, so the directions on meds that talk about leaving 60 - 90 minutes between the meds and our meals is not for us; it's for the folks who still have their whole tummies intact. Once I found that out, the juggling act with the meds and liquids was much, much easier. Staggering your MGBs to help with the driving would be smart. More importantly, each of you will be coming back differently in terms of energy level. It sure would be nice to take turns feeling like napping part of the day rather than have both of you sleeping and neither one available to run an errand or get something for the other one. If you know which one of you needs a little extra recovery time, in general, you might want to schedule that person's MGB last. Pat, I don't get hungry; I usually forget to eat. When I find myself low in energy or lightheaded, I figure out that I've gone too long without protein. I cannot tolerate the taste of fried or greasy foods any more. I crave veggies, fruit and protein. I really don't care whether I ever eat another piece of chocolate and most simple carbs and sugars leave me " cold " these days. They just don't interest me. The MGB has been a miracle for my life and quality of life. I'd do this again in a New York minute! Dee in MI ((MGB 16 Dec 99 -- down 95 pounds and still losing!))
