additional note:

there are other fillings besides composite. some of us are very sensitive to

many materials and there are some very few people who have reactions to

composite as well. you can talk to your mercury free dentist and discuss

your options. you can also test yourself for allergy/sensitivity to the

composite or the other materials available before you get them in.

do a search online for mercury free dentistry and you can find a dr near you

who does the procedure adequately. there is the IAOMT ( international

academy of oral medicine and toxicology) who has a bit less than 500 drs in

the nation. check their website for a listing of serious doctors. they will

give you a world of information.

we are seeing one now as well, but have not decided yet on how to get mine

out because my health is in crazy bad shape and some people crash after the

removal before they get better. (some people don't feel anything afterwards)

i am also allergic to the anesthesia, so ... hopefully we'll figure out a

way to get them our soon.

i wish you best of luck. focus on healing, whatever damage done is done. the

most important thing to accomplish now is to heal, then you can take care of

them.

,

Thanks for the additional information and web address. Perhaps we

could put that in the links so that others can find it when the

question comes up again. :)

I know very little about mercury free dentistry... mostly just that it

exists.

I have no fillings, never have had. Neither do my kids. So, I've

never really looked into it.
