VIOXX® (Rofecoxib) Is a preoperative pain medication to decrease the pain of surgery: Dispense one 50 mg tablet and take it on the morning prior to your surgery. Dose: One tablet VIOXX® (rofecoxib) 50 mg on the morning of the day before surgery. When: The morning of the day before surgery. New preops may want to get this prescription.
