Correct stage? A reminder, " The Stages " table was not created by Elaine. She tolerated it but did not suggest it. In her book she leaves it to people to add foods at their own pace based on trial and error, gradually adding and keeping a log. " The Stages " was created exclusvely for Pecanbread based on input from parents and can be inhibiting. Elaine became agitated when people approached her to say they had avoided certain foods because they did not appear on " The Stages. " You will not find any mention of " The Stages " in BTVC or on other SCD web sites. " The Stages is used mostly by parents who are very hesitant about what to add and when and is simply an auxiliary guidelinelike training wheels on a two wheeler. It is not part of SCD protocols. That said, it is perfectly fine to refer to " The Stages " but do not feel bound by them. YMMV ! (Your mileage may vary) Carol F. Guest guest
Hey Antoinette, You always just bless me. I know that balance is such a key. I too have been absolute with the diet. Some people in our 'social' community do think that I am over the cliff. Even my husband, though he does follow the diet with us, doesn't get the reality that one small infraction could cause reinjury to our children gut and back us up days, weeks, months? From one over the cliff to another, have a great day.
