CRLA SEEKS ATTORNEY FOR ITS STATEWIDE AGRICULTURAL WORKER HEALTH PROJECT California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc. (CRLA) seeks a dynamic attorney to serve as a farmworker " health & safety " specialist with particular emphasis on packing sheds and dairies. This position is based in CRLA’s Fresno office and is part of CRLA’s statewide “Agricultural Worker Health Project (AWHP),” funded by The California Endowment. The successful candidate will collaborate with advocates throughout California on housing and work site health and safety issues while also maintaining case and community education responsibilities primarily in Tulare and Fresno Counties. Lawyers with demonstrated legal or pre-law interest in health or safety related areas (i.e., public health, health policy, occupational health and safety, environmental justice, chemical engineering, industrial hygiene, workers’ comp., etc.), and/or rural social justice experience, are encouraged to apply. Spanish fluency highly desirable. Two to six years of advocacy experience preferred.
