Flo I enjoyed your post! I too explored an eating Disorder program here in

Cincinnati. " It's not what you eat,but why you eat " Ellen Shuman has even

been on the Oprah show with her story(although Oprah can't seem to put an

MGBer on?) I tried the program, got labeled upon signing and paying with

" Binge eating Disorder " (everyone gets that label so insurance will pay). I

journaled every bite that went in my mouth and the feelings around it. To my

dismay I found I was a happy person who overate-no childhood trauma,no " big "

issues, they couldn't even muster up a slight depression for me just so I

feel like my $$ was well spent!LOL! The title B.E.D. didn't fit my

personality at all,and it was overall a very frustrating problem. It did show

me I needed more time for myself, and for that I am grateful! I remember

saying to the therapist(confessing) I felt like I was trying to think up

problems so she felt she was doing a good job,she laughed and said " Maybe

we're finished then? " I never went back. The way you described the " switch "

being turned off post-op was right on the $$ for me.

I went to a local bakery to pick up a b-day cake for my sister-in-law last

week for my brother(he was running late) and I started to wite a check. Here

they stopped taking checks in April. She said " You have not been here have

you? " It was then that I realized I hadn't been in a bakery since early

Feb.! I went there a few times a week pre-op!

It's just another MGB miracle for me!

I also went from a 26 pants to a new 20! My weights down 66 lbs in 5 months

and I feel great! I've recomitted to the supplements(found myself slipping

and having some muscle injuries w/ Jazzercise). I feel much better back on

track! Good luck to those researching. I hope it's right for you! I'm very

happy w/ my decision! I feel 25 again! And boy are the men looking! I enjoy

when a guy slows thew car down a little-let's me know I'm alive(and hubby

couldn't be happier!)

Just an uplift! Flo,realy enjoyed your post-brought back some nice memories!
