Guest guest
Hi Red! Thanks for the kind words. I don't mean to scare anybody. This hasn't been hard, it's just been an adventure. I want people to know they aren't alone in learning to live with the new stomach. A lot of people I have found sort of stay quiet and think they're the only ones going through it, but we're all in this for the long haul! Your PCP needs to write a letter saying that s/he will support you with followups after the MGB surgery, and do necessary blood tests as needed. Also, if your insurance requires a referral from your PCP, it can't hurt to have the PCP write the referral for you. Dr. Rutledge actually uses the Patient Information Form that you fill out online to send in to your insurance company for pre-approval. Good luck!! Kind regards, > I really enjoyed your long letter on food problems. I've been reading posts for about 2 months now,but I don't respond much.I'm grateful to people like you for explaining how you are doing, good or bad. Nothing I have read has changed my mind, just better informed on what to expect. I've finally gotten my PCP's approval. Question;does he just refer me,or is he the one that helps me with insurance approval? Even he is confused with that one[i think it's his first time!!!] Thanks again for your straight forward answers!!
