Guest guest
Has anyone ever looked into having child (that's old enough) get colonic? So much is said about the health of the colon...I am just starting to read " Gut and Psychology Syndrome " where it describes undigested foods laying in the gut. It seems like it would be a good place to start.
Guest guest
The intro SCD has a remarkable way of helping the body to naturaly poop all this cr** out. YOu are right the gut is full of junk...thanks to eating the SADiet (standard American Diet). Although the most care needs to be played.... in the past Dr. Haas did do enemas with his patients also. But to be honest this can be very DANGEROUS and this is why ELAINE did not mention it in her book! If a child has an undiagnosed stenosis or kink...it can cause hemorage of the intestine and death. When doing an enema you first force the stuff/bacteria/and bad gut guys up before it comes out again...this also in controversial. Maybe do what we did an stick with the intro for a good ten days. If you can tolerate it that long. Detoxes the body, plus causes one heck of a die off. We truly lost so much poop, it was truly alarming that first two weeks. Sincerely, Antoinette (entire family of five SCDiet going on 3 months...and finnaly healing) > > Has anyone ever looked into having child (that's old enough) get > colonic? After posting, I found a reference to use of enemas in McBride's book. It discusses the use of them in cases of severe/painful constipation. She talks of them being " safe and effective procedure " that is " as old as humans are. " While " a lot of people in the West find the subject of enemas repulsive...the enema kit is a common tool found in family bathrooms in many eastern countries, performed without medical assistance or prescription... " Then she goes on to describe how to perform one and suggests using a probiotic in the water. She goes on to say that someone with persistent constipation should have a daily enema every night before bed followed with a warm therapeutic bath (epsom salts, sea weed powder, cider vinegar, or sea salt). She hopes that the diet/supplements will relieve constipation, but for cases where it persists, use enemas. Constipation is extremely harmful to the whole body and lays the ground for all sorts of digestive disorders, etc. >But to be honest this can be very DANGEROUS and this is why ELAINE did not mention it in her book! I'm not sure how many of our children have kinks in their bowels which would pose a danger. While it is possible, how common is it? Anyway, I think this could be a worthwhile for those whose children, like mine, are suffering severe abdominal pain from time to time (from constipation). When the diet does correct the constipation, then it wouldn't be necessary anymore.
