When Dr. Nase speaks of salicylic >acid in his book, perhaps he is referring to its ability to exfoliate and >for that reason cautions against its use. hi all about the salicylic acid thing: i have a light moisturizing lotion with a minute amount of salicylic acid in it -- yes that's right it's for teenagerswith acne i like it because it is nearly scentless and extremely soothing and cooling. especially when my skin was bad when it was raw and burning and coming off in sheets this was the only thing that offered some relief. i don't find it irritating that being said: i have oily skin. i can tolerate no other moisturizers i find every thing comedogenic even all the stuff my derm gave me samples of ... so here's a vote for the anti inflamatory properties of salicylic acid .... stacey Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
