hi all

about the salicylic acid thing:

i have a light moisturizing lotion

with a minute amount of

salicylic acid

in it -- yes that's right it's for teenagerswith acne

i like it because it is nearly scentless

and

extremely soothing and cooling.

especially when my skin was bad

when it was raw and burning and

coming off in sheets

this was the only thing that offered some

relief.

i don't find it irritating

that being said:

i have oily skin.

i can tolerate

no

other moisturizers

i find every thing comedogenic

even all the stuff my derm gave me samples of ...

so

here's a vote for the

anti inflamatory properties

of salicylic acid ....

dr. marjorie!

i fear you're just

mocking

me now... there is

method to my seeming

madness

(no, not my

scheming

madness, nor seamy madness either.

i said

seeming

madness ...)

the moisturizing lotion:

clean and clear

dula action moisturizer

by

johnson & johnson

'tis made in montreal canada

(don't know if that makes it

unavailable

to those more 'merican 'mong us)

and ...

what for it ...

0.5%salicylic acid (for those teenage complexions)

now

before all rosaceans

jump

on me for using this

let me just say:

i find it non-irritating

and

soothing

BUT

i also find spectro derm to be good for my skin ....

(i recall some people saying it was too harsh for them)

and then there was someone earlier who uses ivory soap

go figure.

love to all!!!!!!!!

i was trying to respond in kind

could you not hear

the

fake hollywood british accent from movies in the nineteen fifties/forties

when i said:

i fear you mock me

how about this:

madam!

i fear thou mockest me

alas

alack

sigh

swoooooooooooooon

i choose to take such

gentle

ribbing as a

compliment?

or at least a bit of friendliness ...

why not.

we all need to find

fun

humour

where we can find it!

*slapping marjorie on shoulder

with a large mouth bass*

madam

i chellenge yew to a dewelle

(said with fruity fake brit accent

popular in hollywood in the forties and fifties

with teeth clenched)
