Guest guest
Take some juicy juice box drinks and some chicken bullion cubes. Or you can buy some at the grocery store after you get there. Juicy Juice has no sugar added.
Guest guest
Alright, guys and gals-hope you're not tired of hearing from me yet! I'm trying to make a list of " things to do " before I leave for surgery on 8/6. To date, I've-- - bought my Milk of Magnesia (mmmmm!); - had my blood work, ekg, etc. The results will be ready to take with me before I leave; and - taken my list of pre- and post-op meds to the pharmacy. Is there anything I've forgotten? Do I need to pick up any protein powders or anything before I go? Please let me know! Thanks for all of the support I've received! Guest guest
Hi Dawn: I didn't take any supplements with me to NC and picked them up when I got home...except for Citrucel which I took with me. Also for you and other pre-ops, you may not want to fill all the scripts that Dr. R gives you for post-op. For instance, I didn't fill the prescription for pain because I didn't have any. And I did fill the prescription for nausea and I only took one pill and it made me sleep all day. It's more money to lay out and you might not need them. The Carafate is very very important to have when you are discharged. That and the Prevacid are most important! I'll be sure to pick up the citrucel before I leave. Is the carafate one of the prescriptions or is it over-the-counter. If it is over-the-counter, where can I get it? Also, what does the carafate do? Thanks again! Dawn Jester Wichita, Kansas 8/9/
