Guest guest
Yeah! Its wonderful to hear he's doing so well. I almost wrote this last night, but canceled it, but I really want to encourage you to not beat yourself up for not doing the intro first. IMHO, the whole diet thing is a journey. We all come to it from different places and with different things going on in our lives. 6 years ago when I learned I was a celiac I would have flipped if I would have had to give up all the sugars, etc. But now, 6 years later, I'm ready. Some people would have been ready sooner. We've been on SCD 2.5 months and started with the intro, but went too fast, so we did the intro again with better results. I can foresee that we will probably do the intro again, after my son's surgery in June (will try to be SCD legal, but the hospital is hard and my family will try to keep my daughter scd legal, but there's a big learning curve - there's scd legal and then there's scd-the-right-stage-legal). And we will probably repeat it again sometime after that. We all do our best at the time. All the rambling is just to say don't worry about the past, maybe you and your son are more ready now. You are doing a great job - keep it up! :-) Colby celiac 2.5 months DD - multiple food intolerances, scd 2.5 months > > I had my son's blood reanalyzed today. Guest guest
What blood test would one order? Could any lab do the proper testing/analysis with a Dr.'s script? Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I had this analysis done by a naturopath licensed to do microananlysis of the blood (correct title??). Some states will give a naturopath the same rights for prescriptions, etc as a regular MD, but Virginia, where I live, doesn't. So, nothing is covered by insurance, but it's generally cheaper than going to a regular doc. You could also call around as a chiropractor may offer this too. Beware of anyone who will do the analysis then tell you that you need to buy hundreds of dollars worth of their products to fix your problems! I usually tell my DAN doc about the results, etc. but it's not something she has me do or has to be prescribed. The first visit was $50 and followups are only $25. I use it as a snapshot to see what's going on in my family every now and then. Here's a site I bookmarked with photos of what types of cells and stuff you may see: (not endorsing the site or it's products at all- only like the photos) http://healthenlightenment.com/live-blood-cell-analysis.shtml I keep meaning to take photos to record Cody's progress as my friend does for her child, but am too scattered to remember. Janet, mom to Cody- SCD since 4-17-06, restarted intro 5-21-06, multi food allergies, leaky gut, etc. > >I had my son's blood reanalyzed today.
