I once told them that they we are carbohydrate intolerant (which is the truth).

Two times this is the reply.... " oh that is so sad....no wonder why you guys are

so thin " ......and then I tell them...guess what: " Eating this way we are

finally GAINING weight " ...and they just look baffled!

What to tell people who don't understand

I just tell people that my son is allergic to complex carbs, and that the

complex carbs put him into a fog. As soon as you say allergic they don't seem to

question what you are doing!

Do not use this explanation. We are intolerant only of certain or SPECIFIC

carbohydrates.

The worst thing is people thinking this is a low carb or ketogenic diet as that

would pose a

danger to the children with the exception of a siezure diagnosis.
