Guest guest
Hello! I'm new and have been reading your postings for the last couple of days and learning a lot! I'm gearing up to change my daughter over to SCD from GFCF (which she's been on since last August). The thing is, I don't want to reinvent the wheel?!? I've been looking for websites with recipes/menus and have found recipes. I haven't found menus, though. I guess it would just be nice to have to get started. I have the sample menu in Gottschall's book, but would like a week's worth. Also, my daughter's ELISA showed delayed allergy to Almonds...so I've made bread using pecans/cashews which didn't turn out too badly. I couldn't grind the nuts small enough in the processor without them starting to get " sticky " and turning into nut butter. Are the nut flours typically course? Lastly, I'm wanting to make the yogurt and wondering how to go about it. with ASD, I've avoided casein. I have a recipe for nut yogurt and heard about making a coconut kefir. Where do you get the starter for these? The starter I found at Whole Foods had milk products in it. Has anyone with an ASD child made the yogurt with goat milk regardless of DAN protocol recommending no casein? What were the results? I appreciate your comments!
