Guest guest
Hi Sandy, My child used to rage and be very aggressive at times. It really is awful for the child and the whole family! Eliminating the high-salicylate fruits she was eating (strawberries, raspberries, apricots especially), plus almonds, plus pineapple, from my daughter's diet pretty much eliminated the spectacular tantrums and the kicking, hitting, biting, and spitting. Pineapple was the very worst -- I made the mistake of feeding that to her only once! Since then I won't even let her touch the stuff with a finger at the grocery store and I won't have any in the house! Have you tried keeping a " diet diary " to help you figure out which foods cause aggression and rage? My child's episodes always started very soon after eating the food -- certainly within an hour. It was pretty easy to track down the problem foods once I realized foods were the cause. Kayla daughter Lilya almost 4 yr old, SCD about 2 years, mild ASD
Guest guest
Hum, I went to a web site that listed oranges, apples, tomatoes, almonds, zuccini as high salicylate. These are items that we use a lot of. Catchup is at almost every meal, he eats a pealed apple almost every day, an orange several times a week, I have been baking with almond flour some etc. Do you know of a site that will give me a complete list? In looking at a coupld of there were not the ones that you listed. Yes, it is really awful for everyone in the home including the child out of control. Guest guest
I forgot to say that it is always nice to hear about a family that is no longer there. This is encouraging. Guest guest
Thanks again, I will go to the library and try to get this and also look into the sup. I think I saw something about it awhile ago but there really is so much activity on this board that I do not even begin to get through it all. I will try to go back and see if I can locate some of it. Guest guest
No Fenol from Houston Nutraceuticals. http://www.houstonni.com We used No Fenol for a long time and were able to reintroduced foods they had not been able to eat. After being on SCD, they can now eat the foods without enzymes. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/

Guest guest
Thanks again. It has been bothering me that I will take away most of the few fruits that he will eat. I will check this out.
