Cost Compare...MGB vs LAP RNY

Hey all you self-pays, check this out! I found this post on another

weight-loss list. How would you like to get this bill? Blue Cross could

have paid for five of us to have the Mini-gastric bypass for the cost of

just this person's surgery! NOTE:THIS IS THE COST OF A SURGERY WITH A

DIFFERENT SURGEON, NOT THE MINI-GASTRIC BYPASS! I removed the patient's name

from the post since I copied this from a different list.

Hi all!!!! Guess what I just got in the mail???? The hospital

statement. Thank God for insurance. A grand total of

$58,344.80...... and that is not including the doctor's fee. I

just love Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Truly amazing, why hospitals

are going broke. Over $38,285, just for the operating room.

Enough of that, I am somewhat plateauing for the first time,

sitting at 293 for over a week.. Anyone try those diet drinks?

I read the labels, it says sugar as the third listed

ingredients. Slimfast and Nestle. I need advice on those. I do

not ever want to go through what I did last week.Thank you.
