Stormy's surgery will be August 11th...

Looks like the Doc has his hands full on the 10th! My date is

tentative, pending approval of my packet by Dr. R. I would love to

go sooner, but I know the Doctor and his staff are really busy this

week. I asked Barb about how to get my prescriptions filled before I

leave town, and she told me the the proceedure was to print out the

pre-op medication list off of the website and take it to my pharmacy.

I have to get them to call the office and Barb will give them the

information that they need to get my pre and post op meds. I went to

the pharmacy, and they had no problem doing that for me. I have not

picked them up yet, but warned my pharmisist that I will NOT pay my

15.00 co-pay (each)for one or two tabs of each medication. I told him

that I would rather pay the full cost if I had to because it would be

cheaper. I'll find out tomorrow about the cost of the meds(I'm having

all of them filled at once)and post about the cost for those of you

who need that info. Dinah's suggestion to get samples from you PCP is

the best way to go, but not an option for me because I live two hours

away from mine and would rather pay for the meds that drive that far.

I found the Hibiclens at my Walmart. They had some on the shelf, and

some behind the pharmacy counter. It was six dollars for the small

bottle. If I get to have my surgery on the 11th as planned, I will be

coming in Thursday and will check up on those of you who have had

surgery that day if you don't mind. I am bringing my laptop, and will

let everyone know how you are doing if you want me to. Is anyone else

going into surgery on Friday August 11?
