what that Dr. said to you was cruel and malicious and he should have his butt

thrashed for that!!! It totally amazes me to this day and I've heard all the

insults and jokes that people can be so mean and uncaring toward another

human beings feelings!!!!!!

your quest. Let us know how things progress for you. Yes, people can be so

cruel to us, can't they? Like we have no feelings--like the fat has taken

over the space where the feelings used to be. Geeesh!! (The ironic part of

that rude-mouthed doctor's statement is that the only way you could have

weighed what a " normal " person does, is if there WAS a faminie in the land!

They just don't get it, do they?)

Hi ,

Welcome to the list. I also am pre-op and have multiple orthopedic

problems. It is so difficult to get around and to sleep with the

pain at night. I hope that you are able to get insurance approval.

Most of all I wanted to say that that was a stupid, stupid thing that

that doctor told you. I am sorry that you had to go through that. I

can only hope that he packs on a 100 excess pounds or so one day so

that he can learn a little empathy! Welcome.
