Hello!! I just wanted to wish everyone that is having surgery this week and

next week a safe, secure and uneventful trip to the other side. I know

everyone will be just fine and that you'll all be back really fast to report

all the good things, that have happened.

Remember this isn't just a physical, but a mental trip too, that you will be

taking down the path to a new and healthier you. The best of luck to all. My

prayers and thought's will be with you. ; o )

Dear Joanne,

Thank you so very much for your prayers and thoughts for us next

week as well as those going this week....I will be holding out my

hand for those to slap in a sideways " five " for those leaving as I

enter Durham Regional next week. Claire...you were right the time

really did fly, I can hardly believe that all the events at hand are

so close! My prayers for everyone this week and next and for past

and future MGBer's successes.

Hi everyone,

I just got back from Durham. Robin and I went to clinic today. It was

really interesting. Lara and were there, Debbie from Virginia

(Ebbieday) was there with her hubby, Dena Lawton from Michigan was there

with her hubby, I think Barb Ivory from Michigan was there with her hubby,

and Susie G was there with her son. There were also quite a few people I

didn't really know from the group mail list. It was pretty cool, Dr.

Rutledge is very laid back, kept telling us he wasn't going to yell at us if

we eat the wrong things. Debbie said she would get together the things my

insurance company requested and mail them with the other stuff tomorrow... so

hopefully, BCBS will get it soon and approve me without any more delays. My

surgery is scheduled for 7/31, so they'd better hurry. Now that I've been to

Durham, I know I am not going to be able to put this off. It just feels like

something I have to do, and I need insurance approval to do it. I am going

to call BCBS every day to check on the status of my request... They will be

so sick of me, they will have to approve me just to get rid of me! LOL

-hi deb!! good luck for the 31'st date..i also have bcbs but in

colorado....it was a good thing i called them as soon as i knew that

doc sent my letter because it was lost and noone knew where it

was..even though they had received it and posted it...they couldnt

find it! so....barbara faxed it to the right person (i got her name

and made sure it was the nurse) anyways...once she had it and gave

it to the doc at bcbs in order to approve it....IT ONLY TOOK 24

HOURS!!...i asked the nurse to fax me a copy of the approval and she

was happy to do that also....i however, not knowing that i would be

approved so quickly, have just sent my completed packet in and

barbara should have received it today! sooooooooooooo.....i am

hoping for july 26th!! already have my tickets and hotel...im a happy

gal.....dancin' happy feet!! mary!!!!
