Guest guest
Hi e, Congrats on getting your surgery done! 25 pounds already - wow! What an experience to have a tornado watch going on, too! Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely bring a headset and some magazines (as long as I get to keep my glasses). I think I remember you, too. Weren't you on the couch against the far wall, closest to the exit? My husband and kids are coming again. Also, my post-op friend, Carol Maury from SC, is driving up for moral support, too! I expect this time to go as expected, second time is the charm?? It's funny, I'm not overly concerned about the recovery period it's that darn holding pen I'm uptight about - I'll get over it! Please keep posting on your progress. Sincerely, Bernardine 7/24/00 > Hi Bernadine: > > I brought CD headphones with me in the holding area and it was a big help -- especially since I was there for almost 90 minutes!! Don't worry, my case was atypical. There was a tornado and very bad weather, and they didn't want to start any new surgeries until it blew over for fear of having to go on the backup generator. My music really helped keep me calm during that time. Somehow, I was able to go from nervous to calm in that time, as opposed to nervous to more nervous!! > > Best of luck to you. I did not get to meet you, but I remember being at the 4/15 clinic with you. I was on the opposite side of the room. My surgery was on 5/25 and I'm doing great. I'm eating basically anything I want and haven't had any problems. Of course, the things I " want " are much different than before the surgery!! I haven't weighed in awhile, but I've lost somewhere around 25 pounds. Good luck. > > e > MGB 5/25/00 > > >
