Guest guest
--- My blood pressure was also low the morning of surgery. I contibute this to the lack of No food and/drinks after midnight. When I was in the holding area I had Flo next to me... It was still a functionable social place( so was i ). . I was using the head set and hubby was with me and I was ANNOYED at the questions I had to answer in brief sentences for Dr. R , I could at that point tell I was getting ansy.......I waited a total of 20 minutes(waiting for the support hose to come, thinking they srewed up and dont have my size) but I was kept busy the entire time...... After the support hose came I knew that was all we were waiting for, so after the hose went on I knew it was time...... I got on the gurnee, all by myself, I was shaking and very nervous but no hesitation , I wasnt thinking........ . I had my glasses taken and my headset on and it came with me and was still on when I came out of surgery............Lying down I think helped I just shut my eyes and tried those calming effects they teach you in Lamaze......I was wheeled into the pre op or and met all kinds of nice (loony) people (at the time they were Looney cause I wasnt in my right mind) I wanted to sit up and get to know these people on an indivisual basis, but some how I just couldnt get up... (Nervous) So that was the extent of my aniety I d say on a scalle from 1-10 10 being high I was 4 and sometimes a 6. God Bless with your surgery ...Prayers to all who are upcoming .... Hope to see some of you on the 25th Lori In MiniGastricBypass (AT) egroups (DOT) com, smootgen@s... wrote: > Hi & Bern, > > I bet you'll be surprised at how calm you'll be. Guest guest
Lori, Thanks for the blessings and for an idea of what to expect. Knowing I'll be able to keep my glasses to see what's going on is a comfort. Guess a " 6 " isn't too bad! I'll post when it's over what my score was!
