Guest guest
Thank the Lord above!! I was very hesitant about letting my daughter have crayons because she usually lines them up and stims off them. The other day in the store she really wanted crayons so, I caved in and bought them for her. For days she lined them up. She started separating them into colors and she learned some more colors doing this so, I let her have to continue to have them. She will not color with them though! Tonight she was lining them up into color groups and I interrupted her to take one out of line and ask her what color it was. She knew every one I picked up. I couldn't believe it! She even picked up the grey one at the very end and showed it to me and said, " This is a grey crayon " . Her very first sentence ever! She LOVES colors & I think I do too now:)! I have NEVER heard her say more than 2 words at one time before either!! Her behavior has been bad lately and I thought we were regressing. I should have known better. This sort of thing has happened before in die-off. I am so proud of Kali! This is the best Easter present I have ever gotten. I am in tears for the joy I feel! I NEEDED to share this. I have always wondered if she would EVER get her language back. Now I have hope. Jenn & K 11 months SCD (today) Started May 16, 2005

Guest guest
Oh Jen! It is happening for you! Make sure that you and Jim celebrate this somehow! Kali is conquering this monster. It is so exciting to hear of her emerging. Maybe you should throw a mini " coming out " party with a crayola theme .. Jeni Lynn My super special Easter present.... > Thank the Lord above!! Guest guest
Oh Jen, this is wonderful....I cried with you, when I read this. It gives us so much hope too....KiKi is regressing.....but this note from you has raised my spirits....it is probably die off. Plus finally realizing that she can not deal with cow dairy...took that out a week ago today. She has been very aggressive, scratching at us.....but at the same time babbling herself...something she never did before SCD....I even got a hug...something else she never did before...only wanted to nurse without me touching her or caressing her like a mother does when feeding a child......this was very interesting I might add....now she lets me touch her more without rejection. We Celebrate this Easter with you on this very special day. Thank the lord above that he guided Elaine in all her research and now we have a solution and all those wonderful people out in the world that can bring our children back to us...the way we always knew they could be when we knew that it wasn't meant to happen to us....a promise...a hope....a reality.....to be able to embrace the TRUE child that was hidden within and is no longer trapped in a night mare ...we all rejoice!! We all can paint a rainbow of promise with this story of colors. Antoinette and the Silly Yaks at the Bunce Zoo. almost 2 months entire family SCD/Celiac ASD and more....healing and feeling better...trying to get over the hump. My super special Easter present.... Guest guest
Jenn, I'm so excited for you and especially for Kali. I had goosebumps all over reading your post. Use her interest in color to expand her speech. EVERYTHING has a color. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
