Guest guest
Hi all- I actually learned something at the ped GI doc today:) For those of you who are on SCD and still having problems with certain fruits and veggies, you may want to check out this website. www.csidinfo.com There is a condition called Congenital Sucrase-Isomaltase Deficiency which makes some people unable to ingest sucrose or starch w/o getting diarrhea. SCD takes care of the starch aspect, but not the natural sucrose in fruits and veggies. My son has trouble with OJ, bananas & apples all which are high in natural sucrose. So, hopefully this will help someone out there. SCD is still the answer just minus a few fruits and veggies. Amy- Ben's mom-3-HFA-SCD 5 mo Meg's mom-18 mo-NT so far lots of diarrhea __________________________________________________
