I truly do not think it is REQUIRED, but rather it is preferred, which i sunderstandable since you would like for your family to be as well informed as they can be. It really helped my husband, and he enjoyed the clinic and hearing all of the things he will be living with! : ) But really, it is not required. There are many people who go alone - - - not everyone can get their family to Durham! : ) Hope this helps! L.

I wonder why that wasn't done already. I sent > them my packet June 20. Anyone got any suggestions? opinion? They won't schedule youuntil you have insurance approval or you schedule as a self-pay. I scheduled as a self pay until I got my insurance approval. I knew that with or without insurance I was getting this done! : ) Lucky for me, insurance came though! : )
Guest guest
Dinah, Hang in there gal. I went through that too. They had my packet for 2 weeks before I went to clinic to see Dr. Rutledge. I am not currently scheduled for surgery, but Lord willing and the creek don't rise I will be there at the beginning of August or the 2nd week. I am currently losing weight to get within his limits. Just be glad that God sent you to Dr. Rutledge and that you are going to be on the other side sooner than you think. You are in my thoughts and prayers. With Love, Lara M. Akin (BMI 63) Trying to get my weight down to do the dance with Dr. Rutledge.
