I included Dr. R's presentation to the Bariatric folks, the patient manual, some patient contacts, info about how the MGB is superior to other forms of WLS, as well as a very personal letter describing my difficulties with being obese. I wanted to give him plenty of time to read all this info and therefore be informed before our appointment. I believe this was a huge factor, because he kept saying over and over how impressed he was that I was so well informed and that I took the time to inform him as well. I hand delivered it to his office, and then followed up with a call to be certain he had received the information. I like Debbie's idea...you could still do this with your present doc to give her another chance to make an informed decision. Make copies of everything for a second packet to send to a new doc as well. Tricia in IL
