Guest guest
Hi, I was wondering if you can use skim milk to make yogurt? Also, I need to buy a yogurt maker. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which brand would be the best and easiest to use? Also, we are looking at a vita mixer. Do you think that this would be a helpful machine/tool to have? I don't want to buy it if it won't be used Thanks for the input! -Leanna (new to the SCD way)
Guest guest
Yes, a Vitamix would be a fabulous kitchen appliance to have. Yogurt Maker- I like my Yogourmet. If you want glass inserts, Lucy sells those too (and the yogurt makers). http://www.lucyskitchenshop.com As for the skim milk... remind me whether you or your child has ASD issues... if so, then no cow's milk. Goat's milk would be better for certain. If cow dairy is not a problem, I would recommend whole milk. It will make much nicer yogurt than skim milk.
