Guest guest
WOW Mark, what a story! I actually got tears in my eyes reading it. I sure hope you're not as bad as you where in the 80's! I don't even like alcohol, neither my mother or father had problems with their panc., so I can't figure out why it had to happen to me! When my pain was becoming worse, I too, ventured from doctor to doctor who said " IT IS ALL IN YOUR HEAD! " If they only knew! Man, I must have had every test imaginable -- process of elimination! They removed my gallbladder, and it was probably just fine! I didn't have stones, but they performed a CKK hidascan test which stated it wasn't functioning properly. STILL HAD THE PAIN after that. They performed a needle biopsy on the pancreas (they stated they saw a shadow on it) and that caused me to have an acute attack and I was hospitalized for two weeks. That was in 2000. Life goes on. I only have men in the family (husband and two great sons -- 21 and 23) who are very supportive. My son is the one who bought a book and found the antiox. treatment for me. Sometimes I would just break into tears when the pain got worse, as you just think you're dying!! I know I've got to be stronger, but it sure is hard sometimes!! GOD BLESS US ALL!!!
