Hello Everyone,

Sorry I'm not much of a participant. Maybe I'm just shy, although

truth is I'm not able to get on the Site as often as I wish. I was

diagnosed UC 9yrs ago. I've been on the SCD since then.

I have had 2 very bad bouts in the earlier years and lesser bout 2

& 1/2 yrs ago.

I've noticed that things start to look ugly when there is mucus build

up in the stools (and of course stress buildup). Not to mention slight

inflamation of the heel(s) or arch of foot - anyone else with these

signs?

I've had for the last week some warningings (a couple of " strings " of

muscus) with very regular bowel movements.

Then out of the blue bloating pains and over the weekend some

constipation (I never know if a little piece of stool counts as

constipation or not - as far as I actually feel, yes)with some mucus.

It no longer is just a couple of " strings " . I've had really basically

normal bowel movements for the last 2 days but these have mucus.

I know it's not right and I don't know if there is any kind of food

relation. Too much fruit(sugars)? I've cut down on all fresh fruit,

which I eat a lot of. I've thought of going on the Intro diet, but I

haven't got symptoms for this and it just stops me up if I do. I tried

searching past message posts, info section on various SCD related

Sites including the origignal, and although mucus is mentioned there

is no suggestion about diet for this.

When I cut down foods or have gone back to the Intro when ever I had

had a short scare I always wind up loosing weight. Not good for me at

all.

Without knowing what to do, it just feels that I have to wait for the

inevitable, another bout.....

Thanks to listening and for your help.

F.
