Guest guest
Mimi, Do you have any info on whether or not there is a time difference with adults (or older kids) to see results? Just curious, about the story below, about how long the patient was on SCD before this change. We hear so often to wait a certain amount of time -- 1 month, 3 months -- to see whether SCD will make a difference. It would be really interesting to know if that amount of time varies by the age of the person. Marina SCD 10 weeks (and not seeing any results yet!) Pam Ferro RN has been helping adults who live in group homes and getting wonderful SCD results. Here is one report: A patient came in for the initial visit to Pam Ferro's clinic. He was so violent that he needed several aides to restrain him. After implementing the SCdiet, the patient returned for a follow up visit. This time he was no longer violent and only needed one aide to accompany him. When the visit was over, that patient gave Pam a big hug! Guest guest
As most already know (we have been doing 100% compliance to SCD for three months), thanks to celiac disease and other psychological and neurological complications in our family. All I believe as a result to undiagnosed Celiac Disease. The brain doesn't like it when it doesn't get nourishment thanks to malabsorption problems and an active vicious cycle. We I have had unbelievable results and so has my husband. I more than likely fall on the spectrum some where, although never evaluated as such. I have many traits, and my husband is very AS like and was diagnosed with ADD. Our daughter is diagnosed as Celiac and Autistic, our son ADHD. I can only speak for us, but I have better concentration, feel more grounded in " reality " , no more foggy thinking or " brain cloud " , more energy. Less depression and mood swings, YEAH! My husband's concentration is better, more even tempered. He is better able to follow through with tasks more reliably. We both are getting along with each other better. Everyone is happier. I think more clear and can even write easier. Talking more clear and concise. Talking to people have always been a problem for me. Even this is getting easier. The brain likes it when it is fed lol! Warm Regards to all, Antoinette (mom to -5 KiKi-2 and Bubbles-1 SCD 3/06 and entire family of five, healing when no other way worked) SCD and OLDER AUTISTIC PEOPLE /Re: Getting ready to start SCD How about older adults?
