,

Even without an anxiety disorder, I'm with 'ya! I'm getting nervous

too with 12 days to go. My biggest concern is the time in the pre-op

holding area. I wish we could get some sort of " I don't care " IV! I

hope we can bring some magazines and music in the holding area.

I have one other concern, when I have to give up my glasses. I'm

blinder than a bat! I won't see a thing, and most importantly I

won't see Dr. R. Hope he talks to me so I know he's there before I

get knocked out.

Best on luck with your surgery - you'll get to the other side before

I do. Please post on how you kept the nervousness in check.

Sincerely,

Bernardine

Hi & Bern,

I bet you'll be surprised at how calm you'll be. I was on Buspar

for anxiety and I stopped it 2 weeks prior to surgery.......when I was in

the ACU area I was filling out my paperwork that Dr.R requires and they took

my blood pressure......it was 112/70 or something really low like that each

time they took it. My normal readings were 160/100.

Go figure......I must have been real relaxed.....ha...ha

Love,

Genz
