Guest guest
ive been using the honey in the apple/pear sauce, ice cream and drizzling over some of the veg - my youngest has a sweet tooth so im trying to compromise a little - im just a bit confused - i thought elaine said it was some thing like a misconception that it can feed yeast because its 'in a bio-film' that the yeast cant get through? plus of course the fact that it added extra calories etc thanks emma > > > > > > Jody, I was going to make the nut free cup cakes with chicken and > > butternut > > > squash is it too early for that too? > > > Elaine ( SCD 5 days) > > > > > > Re: Honey and SCD > > > > > > Tara, > > > > > > If you just switched to SCD last week, it is too soon for baked > > goods > > > anyway. > > > > > > I would recommend that you start again with the intro diet. Guest guest
Honey is fine to use unless you or your child has thrush or obvious yeast issues in the esophagus. It is digested very quickly and should not feed the pathogens in the colon. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/

Guest guest
Try looking up " honey anti-microbial " on Google. You'll turn up quite a bit of information. All positive about using honey, even to treat things like ulcer and gastritis. I even saw some information on it being anti-fungal in nature. I am not attempting to persuade you, but to encourage you to look into it some. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
