Hey guys,

KiKi is on day 35 today (with the rest of her family). We have not

had a delerium episode/night terror/siezure during the middle of the

night, in over 14 days! We are all sleeping better. To think at one

time she could have up to three in one night, just screaming,

thrashing and flopping around like a fish, and not recognizing who

we where. Sometimes lasting for up to a half hour (always around

two am in the morning)! I am so glad that this looks like it is a

thing of our past. She is also trying to learn how to go down and up

the stairs by herslef. Her muscle have always been very

hypotonic/low muscle tone (still are but now she wants to use

them!)...she use to insist on being carried everywhere (by crying

and screaming). We went to the park this weekend and she walked

everywhere..even wanted to do things for a change, like try the big

slide and tetter totter...eventhough she was still very aloof and

scared. Yesturday she added two more words...now up to six words!

She wants to learn her signs and now signs " more " , " thank

you " , " dog " and " cat " ! She notices birds in the sky,trees, and

loves airplans (something that never existed to her

before)....always looking for things to point to and " talk " about!

She never wanted to talk about anything! She wants to play out

front with the neighbors, and when we visited the grandparents this

weekend, she was actualy able to get off my lap and socializie

(although still difficult for her)....she did it none the less! She

also wants to pick out what she wears (insists on it!), wants to

help with everything (loading dishwasher, picking up the

house....and other little " chores " ....she never showed signs of

wanting to " mimic " adult behavior. She also has started imaginary

play with her toys/dolls (babbleing as she plays!). Guys this has

all happend in the first month of a strict SCDiet! SHe is truly a

different baby...turning into a typical two year old!

Here are the questions for KiKi:

1) Showing signs of constipation (nice change but....)should I add

the raw fruit? Still eating just meats, cooked fuits and vegis,

scrambled eggs, 2 teaspoons of SCD yogurt/day, with an occasional

peice of KiKi coconut (dairy free, nut free cake).

2) Do I dare add cheese (goat or cow?)....what are the guide lines?

What is your take being that she has all the signs of coming out of

ASD. (I know that some say " casein " free.

3) What is your take on starting potty training???? Her younger

sister " Bubbles " , at 17 months old is showing signs of wanting to

start...sitting on potty and pretending...taking off her own pants

and diaper to do it...KiKi doesn't show any interest and is 22

months old (five months older). I want to respect her delays....due

to Celiac Disease and malabosorption that caused ASD (and other

developmental delays). What have you guys done who have been down

this road of " potty training " a special kid before? Our son didn't

have this problem to this extent...have no experience.

Guys, I am a happy mother today thanks to SCD (happy tears for a

change)...thank God I am feeling better too....my depressiona nd

chronic fatigue, foggy mind, forgetfullness, unconnectedness, rage

attacks, and irritability (my own ASD) is slowly vanishing! We are

all stableizing in weight to where we are so suppose to weigh.

Warm Regards and thank you all for putting up with us, Antoinette

(day 35 entire family SCD, family problems that we are healing

from: Celiac DIsease, malabsorption, leaky gut, multiple allergies

and sensitivities and many neurological problems all related to a

damaged gut: ADD, ADHD, ASD, and mental illness.)
