As I read your post, I began thinking how much your daughter sounds like my son

who is also vaccine injured. My son has been medication free for a couple

years. One of his seizure meds (Zonegran) almost killed him 4 years ago. My

son will be nine years old this July and we are hoping to start the SCD soon.

We go to see the neurologist again next week in Houston at Texas Childrens

Hospital. The dietician has been helping us with diet since my son was on the

ketogenic diet for 4 years and ended up with osteoporosis from it. I would love

Hi Keaghlan,

sideeffect are too many to even start. Ask the doctor if he knows for sure

that those medication will stop seizures.

He will not, be able to promise you that it will stop the seizures. ask him

if they have side effects, He will tell you that they a minimal, but it

would be better to take the medication rather than having seizures.

Go to the pharmacy and ask them for a copy of the side effect on those drugs

and let you parents make up their mind if they want to put their child on

those drugs.

My daughter was on Tergretol, Phenabarb and Clobozam none of them help but

made the seizures worse. She had more and more infections and her white

platelets got very high. She bruised very easily. She walked around in the

beginning like a zombie, because that is what the medication does to you. It

slows down your brain. Your brain needs more oxygen , so that you don't have

more seizures and the medications does not provide that.

This diet is much better to help your sister in not having as many seizures

..

My daughter is still having seizures on this diet, but they are for sure not

as severe and frequent as they had been before. Make sure you are informed

about everything before you let a doctor talk you into something you might

regret after.
