I like the name Pecan Bread...but Jody, or someone could you give

hope...we have been told that this sensitivity to almonds disappears

for most of us with this sensitivity we the gut heals on the

strictest SCDiet.

This is greatfuly happening to us. We showed up to Pecan Bread not

able to tolerate the Almond flours and many foods high in Phenols,

thanks to a severely damaged gut. Caused horrible behavior problems!

It has almost been three months practicing the strictist SCD and we

can now tolerate the " three mufins a day " ....with the exception of

KiKi who doesn't like anything that looks like bread, cake or cookies

because it made her sick...she still may have problems digesting

it...so we don't push the issue with her. In time she will heal and

realize that it is safe. She doesn't need it to eat a balanced

diet.

But the rest of us, we can now eat all the nut flours with ease and

no ill affects as long as we do not over do it. My son ate too many

almond cupcakes (because we forgot Elaine's suggestion of the 3

muffin rule), he had his first RAGE ATTACK and uncontrolable tantrum

in weeks. It was like going down memory lane. So much fun " memories

like the ones we use to know.... "

We will be more careful not to over do it with anything. Especialy

Almonds, or foods high in phenols.

Antoinette (mother of two ASD kids (4 years and 2 years) that are

recovering from Celiac Disease/injured intestines/husband and I

recovering from injured intestines my self)
